Trailer Suspension

Trailer suspension system is a device connecting the trailer frame and axle. It is used to transfer the force and torque between the wheel and the frame, buffer the impact force transmitted from the road to the frame, and reduce vibration so the trailer can run smoothly.

Steel plate suspension, also known as leaf spring suspension, is mainly composed of leaf springs, suspension support, connecting rod, U-bolt, etc. The biggest advantages of this type of trailer suspension are low cost, reliable operation and convenient maintenance. That is why steel plate suspension is currently the largest application for semi trailers.

Another common application but more expensive option of trailer suspension system is air suspension. Also known as airbag suspension, its most remarkable feature is the airbag style air spring. Compared with other suspensions, the cushioning force of air suspension is better. It can effectively protect goods and improve driving comfort. At present, it is mainly used in the transportation of precision instruments and hazardous chemicals.
