Cement bulker trailer is also called cement tanker or powder tanker. It has an enclosed cargo compartment and automatic unloading device for transporting bulk cement. It is mainly used for cement plants, cement warehouses, and large construction sites, which can significantly save packaging materials and labor when loading and unloading.

This type of trailers first appeared in the 1960s and it is relatively simple to use. Its maximum load capacity may reach 100 tons. The cargo compartment is a tank container, which is placed obliquely on the trailer frame. The horizontal tank has low center of gravity with much better transporting stability so it is more commonly used. The tank body is welded with steel plate or aluminum plate. It can also be made of FRP.

There are one or more manholes along the upper part of the tank, which makes it convenient to fill the tank. The manhole can also be used as the access for maintenance. The bottom of the tank is equipped with a cement fluidization device. The air compressor equipped is used to unload cement ash. During unloading, the compressed air is pushed into the tank from the bottom of the tank, divided into small streams through the breathable layer of the cement fluidization device, and evenly filled the tank with cement to form an air and cement mixture. Under the pressure difference between inside and outside the tank, the cement is discharged through the unloading pipe. This type of unloading method is fast and eliminate dust flying. The flexible unloading pipe allows unloading at different height and location. It can even be operated under rainy weather.
